I know its been awhile but I've updated my youtube blog site for those of you who have been requesting it. And yes, its an emotional one, right out the gate!!! Enjoy!

When life gives you lemons............

Squeeze them in the eyes of your enemies! Haha ok maybe not but you all know the old saying. It's a very simple saying but it holds so much weight and truth. As you all know for MONTHS, all I've been talking and talking on about has been CALIFORNIA CALIFORNIA CALIFORNIA.... The only reason that I'm taking this cruise job is so that I can move to CALIFORNIA. And if you all have been living under submarines or if this is your first visit to my blog world, I am trying to move to California to get my production company started and as we all know, Cali is the mecca of all things film/tv. BUT is it really the end all to be all?! Especially for an aspiring indie writer such as myself? What would happen if certain opportunities presented themselves to me in another place? Other places such as, lets say....... ATLANTA, GA............................................................. Hmmmmmm.....

That is all I'm gong to say for now.... HAHAHAHHAHA! You gotta stay tuned as the crazy and very unpredictable world of Tiera Nicole unfolds before your eyes as she takes life's lemons and somehow makes a masterpiece out of them...

F************CCCCCCKKKKK

So as you all know, I've been waiting to leave for my cruise job for about a month now. Well I just got word today that I've been placed on ACTIVE HOLD until my position becomes available. Which means that I have to wait EVEN LONGER to get a departure date! Uuuuggghhhh! This gets me thinking though. Thinking about waiting. About the most dangerous word in my vocabulary....... PATIENCE! Anyone who knows me knows that I have little to no patience and yet it seems as though everytime I'm anticipating a big event or occurence to happen in my life, instead of springing towards it, I seem to stumble away initially..... I tell ya, that God is one funny creature.... He will take what you are most challenged with and force you to go to war with it. He will make you face that which is the hardest to face and make you deal with it, one way or the other. And what better way to get me to face my patience foe than to have me wait for the one thing that will singlehandedly change my financial situation and therefore change my life's direction..... I'm onto you G O D... I have been known to make very impulsive decisions instead of sitting back and thinking things all the way through and time and time again, it has come back to chew me a new one and is the main reason for me being in the present situation that I'm in.....

So ok ok, maybe waiting doesn't sound too bad afterall. I know God just wants whats best for His children and He wants to see us blossom into the beautiful creatures He created us to be. He just gotta beat the ugly out of us sometimes to get to that beauty..... And man am I being clobbered right now! F********CCCCCCKKKKK! I HATE WAITING! LOL!

Writing

So as some of you know I have been busy with my first book project, my "Love Sex & Baggage" book. It is a compilation of short stories all with a common theme of either love, sex, or yup you guessed it, baggage. I am proud of the progress that I have started but i still have about 2/3 more to go. I wanted to have the book completed written (rough draft) before I leave for my cruise ship job (yes i got a job on the Norwegian cruise ship for 5 months before heading to Cali) because I will have NO TIME on the ship for writing a full out story but I can do rewrites in my spare time.

Writing a book is by far one of the most challenging things that I've done so far in my blossoming career. All the research, time, attention to detail, and overall dedication that goes into doing a freelance project is nothing like anything that I've faced in my career thus far. But I will say that I am enjoying it. I am discovering alot about certain topics and points and places of interest that I may not have ever paid attention to. When I go out, I am very aware of possible story and character ideas all around me. Being a writer allows you to tap into a part of your being, a part of your subconscious and express yourself in a way that the "normal" world would NEVER accept. In other words, you can sanely be insane and no one will judge you... HAHA!

So as you see, Ive got my plate full and things are moving right along perfectly. I am falling in love each day with me the artist and am admiring her more and more as her talents and skills continue to blossom and grow.
