Its been awhile........

Hello all, I know its been about a month since I last posted something but I've been pretty busy (as usual)... Been prepping for my NY move which is about 2 months away and I still have sooooooo much to do before then... As I'm typing this, I'm on my way to work in DC.. The drive to and from DC every weekend is starting to take a toll on me... Last weekend I had a vocal chord strain and I'm suffering from fatigue... BUT the show must go on.... Its crunch time... I'm calling it "Operation New York, New Life".....

But before that let me catch you up... I last told you about my audition for "As the World Turns", the soap.... Well I got a callback and I taped for the episode on Thursday... Taping for a soap opera is completely different from taping for a regular tv show or a movie... Everything goes by very fast... On a tv/film set, you can find yourself being there for 12+ hours and only tape one or two scenes per day, even as a background actor/actress... On a soap set, they film the whole entire episode (20+ scenes) in one day! Which is like about 10-15 minutes per scene! So if you're in one scene, you're day is essentially over in about 20 minutes.... So its an experience if you're not used to it... Two weeks ago I auditioned for school and was accepted and was awarded a scholarship from school based on my performance.. So excited about that... I have decided to stay in housing at school. I was looking at apartments in Brooklyn and Queens but decided that staying in housing would be so much better... The New Yorker hotel in Manhattan is where I will be calling home.... It is on 34th and 8th, right across from Madison Square Gardens,four blocks from school!!! Can't get any better than that... I'll be centrally located to everything and living in one of the biggest and most beautiful hotels in New York!!!!! So because of this, I've decide to sell my car and bedroom furniture.... Thinking of going to carmax and seeing what they tell me....

So I'm really excited about this journey... I will try to keep my postings more frequent... Love you all and thanks for your continued support...

Update

Ok, so its been a few weeks since Ive written anything. Things have been pretty steady for me. Lets see....... whats first.... Well first, last week I auditioned for "As the World Turns" the soap opera. I'm pretty excited about that. I think I did an extremely bang up job and if I'm not chosen, its simply because I'm not what they were looking for "look" wise and not talent cause I think I rocked that audition. And the casting director even raised an eyebrow in amazement too... So that's still to be seen. I also attended a modeling call to be a spokesmodel for Don Julio Tequila. Still waiting on that too.... Everything is a waiting game in this business. This past weekend I was cast in DJ Quick Silva's music video, "Where They Do That At?"... I was cast to be an extra in the video but ended up being the feature girl by the end of the day... How that happened, not so sure but I feel blessed either way.....

Not sure if I told you all but I'm moving to New York in January and I'm freaking excited about it!!! I cant wait to leave baltimore and be in the middle of it all... I'm going to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and am alittle agitated because I'm still in the application process and Ive been waiting for three weeks for my old acting teacher to finish my recommendation letter. So I've been scrambling around to get that done. But I'm sure it will all fall into play how its supposed to. Also, this week I start rehearsing for the short film I was cast in a few weeks ago. So needless to say I have quite a few projects on my hands and I'll be working to stay sane through it all... Today is my only day off this week so I'm about to chill out and do NADA alllllll day long.....

Why So Negative?????

I'm so frustrated..... I don't understand why people are soooo negative. I have a friend (who shall remain nameless) who complains allllllllllllllll the time. Everytime I talk to this person, they are always complaining about something.. Mainly society. Ever met a person like that? Or have a person like that in your life? I mean you ask them how their day's going and its never pleasant? Don't they realize that negativity only begets negativity.... Everytime you complain or look at a situation negative FIRST without an OUNCE of optimism, you're only setting yourself up for more unpleasantness... Your brain is a muscle and it remembers patterns of behavior and your body will follow along with what your mind produces... You think negative and the worst of every situation, your body will then start to produce negative actions.... We only have control of ourselves in this world, so if you don't like things the way they are, you must first change your mind and everything else will follow. Stop looking for the world to change when you yourself have the ability to change the world.....................................

THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!

Don't look for others to do what you can do yourself. You dont like something, change it... You don't like a certain television network, change it! Don't keep watching the same channel and complain that you hate it.. For instance, I am not particularly a fan of MTV, you'll never catch me sitting on the couch tuning in on a Monday night..... WHY??!! Cause its not really my cup of tea... There are certain groups of people that I know I don't gel with, nothing wrong with them but just not my style... But I don't go and hang with them and complain the whole time about how much I dislike them....

LOL..... Sorry I know I'm going off on a tangent, all in all I just wanted to encourage everyone to try and find positivity in all that you do because your situation could be so much more worse. Be grateful for all that God, Allah, Budah or whomever you reach out to, has provided for you and keep pushing forward... Never look back except to brush the dirt off your back.... Each new day brings new possibilities to make it better or for "do overs"..... Don't look for others to improve or make better, look within yourself and make it happen.. And you know what will happen??! All those people that you wanted to see change will start to see the change In YOU and then they will emulate what they see.......

THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!

And once again, I'm here. My agent Mike gave me a CD today with almost 200 pics on there and Ive gotta choose my favorite!! I'm sooo undecisive. Ive posted a few unretouched pics.. I'm not including these in my portfolio but figured I'd share them with you guys anyhow, so please excuse the dark lighting and skin imperfections. Leave me a comment to tell me what you think so far... I have another shoot on Saturday with Roy Cox and the KIS models. That shoot will be more high fashion and fitness, so sorrrryyy no more booty shots!!! lol At least not for awhile....

Well as you can see, is almost 4 in the morning and Im still up working... That's what I do... I gets it in!! lol

Ed Hardy Wine Fashion Show

Hey guys, check out my pics from a fashion show Ive recently done...... Looking at these photos makes me really proud. Ive progressed so much, mentally and physically over these short 8 months. My body is in the best shape that its been in YEARS!! ( See Vinny!!!! It is paying off!!!- my trainer Vinny is always getting on me). Just a few months ago I would NEVER have the courage to go out and show off myself in a fashion show, I was waaayy too scared... And now!! Cant keep me off the runway... I'm loving it! God is truly blessing and teaching me at every corner....

And the Beat goes on.....

So my shoot went REEEEAALLLYYY well last night after 12 hours of being there...... Mike said that he was really impressed with my photos and has said that he will give me a spread in his upcoming industry mag, "Official".... So please be on the lookout for that soon. I may have a few gigs lined up in the next few days but we'll see... Today I have an audition in Baltimore. Its a non paid gig but i still want to experience working on a movie set cause that's something I have yet to do... I'll keep you posted on that....

BTW, I injured my toe last week, I dropped a table on it (dont ask, you'll soon find out what a cluts I am) and I have a fashion show at Lux (the nightclub I work at) this Saturday.... Hope it gets better FAST!!! Pray for my healing all......

Hello world,

Let me introduce myself to you all.... My name is Tiera Nicole and I am an aspiring actress/model who has just signed with Style Elite Agency with Mike Styles....... I have been in the business for about a year, 8 months fulltime.. It has been a complete worldwind and its only the beginning.... I am enjoying every minute of it and am learning alot about myself and the world...

Today is Tuesday, August 25, 2009 and I am shooting for my model portfolio with Mike (photos to come)... I have been here since 10am and it is currently 8:29p and I still have not taken one photo!!!! Yea that's the world of entertainment for you.... Hurry up and WAIT!!!!! But my pics will be hot so I don't mind the wait....
