Valentines Day Hoax

As you all know, I am an advocate for love and all things involved in it. Having just gotten out of the best relationship I've ever been in with a man whom I truly truly loved (noticed I've never directly talked about the break up.. Lol.. Dont want to go there), I can honestly say that Valentines day is NOT about love! It is a way for our society to further continue to skew and commercialize Love... Its a mockery of such a strong feeling through gifts, gadgets, and one night stands... I think its despicable how women use this day as leverage over their partner and how the men feel pressured to live up to those expectations just so that they can FINALLY get some good good... Tisk tisk...

Am I sounding bitter? Hmmmm, maybe.... You may say that if I were still in a relationship then I wouldn't be sitting at home in my pjs ranting on a blog.. That I would be in the arms of the one I love, basking in his manly musk... Or that I would be that very same woman that I just previously criticized................................ Well SO WHAT!! I think this day is stupid! And I dont care how many invitations I received today, if none of them were coming from him, I pass... Its hard to see this day as just "any other day" when what it represents is what I'm still trapped in, love...... So yes, I think this day is a big hoax because it is set out to keep the lonely, bitter and the "in love", broke... Nothing about either of those situations scream, I love you!! *smile*

Hmmmm... I actually feel good after that... Lol.... On that note, going to finish my box of bon bons and finish watching "Waiting to Exhale"...... Hahahahahaha I kid I kid......

I am determined to make this year the start of something wonderful for me and my career. I have a few things up my sleeve for this year (i.e. Finally airing Love Sex & Baggage, start shooting first film by year end, etc) I dont want to speak much on those things because I dont want to prematurely discuss anything until its more concrete. I've learned my lesson with that. True I like to keep you all posted on my progress but I like to actually give you all some substance as well and not just smoke... So just know, as I've said before, my silence means I'm hustling to bring you all great work. I love you all and appreciate your continued support... I will have some news for you all in a few days so stay tuned..............
